Tim Burns started in real estate sales in 1980 at the start of the recession. He was recruited due to his public speaking skills to be a nationalist trainer for ERA Real Estate. With ERA, he trained over a thousand agents and helped create and rolled out the Sales System Training Modules. He later managed the Chicago Region as a Service Manager until moving to the franchise development side of the business in 1987. He managed the Midwest raising the level and quality of broker to its highest level in history. He joined RE/MAX Integra, the world’s largest master franchisor, in 1987. At RE/MAX Integra, he tripled the region’s size of agents and doubled the size of offices in less than 10 years. He also brought the concept of mergers and acquisitions to the brand. Prior to his arrival, mergers were simply within the brand.
Tim’s knowledge of the merger and acquisition process, along with his public speaking skills led him to share his knowledge to audiences throughout North America, while sharing the stage with the likes of Steve Murray of Real Trends. His session from the Broker Owner Conference were broadcasted over RSN Network.
He Joined RE/MAX International in 2006, and went on to manage and grow a team throughout the US. Tim was responsible for building the network throughout the most challenging recession in history including Florida, Nevada, Arizona and California. The franchise sales efforts helped rebuild the network’s strength, and allowing the organization to go public. He re-joined Integra in 2015 and completed a 20 year history of growing the RE/MAX brand.
Tim joined Better Homes & Gardens® Real Estate in August of 2017 to expand the Central US. He brings 30 years of franchise growth experience and a wealth of knowledge within the industry. Tim is a published author of the book titled Stop Selling.
